To keep membership accessible during our founding period, full background screening is completed before active introductions — not at the moment someone joins the founding database.

Founding Members

Upon joining, your application and profile are reviewed by our team. Initial review may include profile consistency review, identity validation, and basic account verification.

Match-Ready Members

Before any introduction is made, members are required to complete full screening — including criminal background review, sex offender registry check, and identity confirmation. This step is non-negotiable.

We recommend reading this as: "screened before introductions" rather than assuming every database member has already completed full vetting. Transparency about this distinction is important to us.

Membership in Modern Day Matchmaking is not automatic. We reserve the right to review applications, limit capacity, and decline participation where alignment, conduct, or community standards are not a fit.

Does screening guarantee safety?
No. While screening supports a more informed process, no screening system can guarantee behaviour or eliminate all risk. We encourage members to use personal judgment and standard dating safety practices when meeting someone new.
Are all applicants accepted?
No. We thoughtfully review every application and may decline membership or introductions when alignment is not a fit. This is not a judgement — it is how we protect the quality and intention of the community.
Do you guarantee matches or relationships?
No. We provide curated introductions and guidance, but relationship outcomes depend on many personal factors beyond our control. What we do guarantee is that every introduction we make is thoughtful, intentional, and backed by real human insight.
What would disqualify someone from membership?
We do not publish a specific list, but conduct, honesty, and community alignment are all considered. Felony convictions, presence on sex offender registries, or dishonesty in the application process are among the factors that would affect eligibility.

Membership fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated. Specific introductions are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to suspend or remove members for dishonesty, harassment, misconduct, or violation of community standards.

If selected for active introductions, additional verification or screening steps will be requested. Failure to complete requested screening steps will affect eligibility for introductions.
