Modern Day Matchmaking LLC ("MDM", "we", "us", "our") provides a human-curated matchmaking service based in the United States. Our services include a multi-part psychological assessment, personalised profile review, and curated introductions between compatible members seeking long-term relationships.
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at moderndaymatchmaking.com and all related services. By using our website or signing up for membership, you agree to these Terms in full.
To use MDM's services, you must:
MDM is not a casual dating service. By signing up, you confirm that you are single, serious about finding a long-term partner, and willing to engage with the process in good faith.
We reserve the right to decline membership to anyone who does not meet these requirements or who we believe would not contribute positively to our community.
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of your profile information. You agree to:
Providing false information — including about your relationship status — is grounds for immediate termination of your membership without refund.
Our assessment tools — including Attachment Style, Connection Type, Defense Style, Love Language, and Values assessments — are original works developed by Modern Day Matchmaking LLC. They are provided for the purpose of facilitating compatible introductions.
The free assessment is available to anyone. Results are for personal insight and matching purposes only and should not be treated as clinical psychological diagnoses or professional therapeutic advice.
By completing the assessment, you grant MDM the right to use your results — in confidential and anonymised form — to improve our matching methodology.
MDM offers three paid membership tiers — Essential, Premium, and Elite — with different levels of service. Full details of what is included in each tier are available on our Pricing page.
Membership fees are charged in US dollars. Monthly memberships are billed monthly. Multi-month packages (3-month, 6-month, and annual) are billed upfront at the discounted rate. All payments are processed securely through our payment provider.
The cost of the required background check is included in your membership fee. There are no additional charges for this service.
We reserve the right to change our pricing at any time. Active members will be given at least 30 days notice before any price change affects their membership.
Monthly memberships may be cancelled at any time. Your membership will remain active until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are available within 7 days of payment if no introductions have been made.
Multi-month and annual packages are refundable within the first 7 days of purchase only. After 7 days, the remaining term is non-refundable. These packages do not auto-renew without your explicit consent.
If MDM has not made an introduction within your first 30 days of paid membership, we will extend your membership by one month at no additional charge. This is offered as a goodwill gesture and does not constitute a guarantee of introductions.
If your membership is terminated due to a violation of these Terms (including providing false information or misconduct), no refund will be issued.
MDM provides curated introductions based on our assessment methodology and team judgment. By becoming a paid member, you understand and agree to the following:

Violation of these conduct standards may result in immediate termination of your membership without refund and, where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities.
If at any point you feel unsafe or uncomfortable as a result of an introduction, please contact us immediately at hello@moderndaymatchmaking.com. We take all safety concerns seriously and will act promptly.
All paid members are required to complete a background check prior to receiving introductions. By enrolling as a paid member, you:
MDM reserves the right to deny or terminate membership based on background check results, at our sole discretion and without being required to disclose specific reasons.
While MDM is committed to providing a thoughtful, high-quality matchmaking service, we make no guarantees regarding outcomes. Specifically:
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Modern Day Matchmaking LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to damages resulting from introductions made through our platform.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to MDM in the 3 months preceding the claim.
MDM is not responsible for the actions, behaviour, or conduct of any member after an introduction has been made. You assume responsibility for your own safety and wellbeing when meeting someone through our service. We strongly encourage meeting in public places for initial meetings.
All content on the MDM website — including our assessment questions, methodology, type names, written descriptions, design, and branding — is the intellectual property of Modern Day Matchmaking LLC and is protected by copyright law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any MDM content without our prior written permission. This includes our assessment framework, compatibility methodology, and the 16 Connection Type names and descriptions.
You may terminate your membership at any time by contacting us at hello@moderndaymatchmaking.com. MDM may terminate or suspend your membership at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, or behaved in a way that is harmful to other members or the integrity of our service.
Upon termination, your access to our services will cease. Data retention following termination is governed by our Privacy Policy.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which Modern Day Matchmaking LLC is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation in the first instance. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable US arbitration rules, except where prohibited by law.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and notify active members by email with at least 14 days notice before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of our services after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
